The excellent book of short stories The King Is Always Above His People Daniel Alarcón, translated and published this Alfaguara year, can serve as the guideline for what happened in 2010, for its peculiar internal variety. It may even be useful to refer to what happened in areas not entirely literary. An example: on page 165 we read "In what year was U.S. screwed?"
